Author Peggy Cline

Trout Farming in the People's Republic of Boulder

Peggy Cline has been writing most of her life to record experiences, people, or pets that were unique or interesting enough to remain in her life as cherished or sometimes painful memories.

Peggy's father-in-law and uncle, and later her husband, Steve, created the relatively unique, private vocation of raising and stocking, live trout for the lauded sport of fishing in Colorado, New Mexico, and Wyoming. The ponds and raceways, where they raised the

fish sometimes created a curiosity hazard, or perhaps an attractive nuisance for the brazen to help themselves to the fish that took a year or more to arrive at a sellable size at sometimes great expense.

Written as a tribute to her husband and the memorable moments they created in the foothills of Boulder, Colorado, Peggy's ability to share stories of how to enjoy life, create loving relationships, and cherish the land, will keep you engaged.

If you are an outdoor enthusiast, eager to delve into the lives and adventures of a family you'd be interested to have as your next-door neighbor, this book is tailor-made for you!

ABOUT

Born in the far northeastern Colorado town of Holyoke, Peggy moved with her family to Weld county where her parents were wheat farmers. When she married Steve, they lived in Boulder, where Steve, his father and brother raised trout

to stock in private pond and streams. A friend's husband described Peggy, as being a combination of Boulder and Weld County, which combined a compliment with a slight insult; however, she agreed with his description. With degrees from the University of Northern Colorado and the Master's Degree from CU in Boulder, she taught reading to high school and middle schoolers in the mainly Italian and Hispanic town of Frederick, Colorado. She's excited to publish since it took her a lifetime to experience and write the stories. She hopes her stories don't insult anyone; she has few filters!
